Special menu items? Signature drinks?   The one thing about our menu that was truly a signature Abby & Vitaly production was our cake. I wanted to let Vitaly have full reign of one project, so I assigned him this. In Vitaly fashion, he created a complex mathematical ratings guide for each of the cake flavors. (You can imagine our baker’s concern when Lemon Cake received a 4 for category – taste). After tasting all the flavors and rating them on three different category levels, he came up with two winners tied for the highest score, so he was super relieved when our baker let him know he could split the layers with different flavors. Still – one thing was missing. As everyone knows, my favorite flavor is peanut butter, and that was not one of the top two. So, in true Abby fashion, it turns out I couldn’t give up complete control, and we decided on a 3-tier-3-flavor Vitaly & Abby-style dessert.

That’s all I can say.
Our tasting was wonderful and FUN. I had two pictures of cakes that I wanted (one that they had designed and I saw on their website and another from a random site). Richard was able to blend the two, sketch the design and show us an example in a matter of minutes! He gave us a lot of great ideas. Our cake was yummy, unique and BEAUTIFUL. Our guests LOVED it. Thank you so much for our awesome cake.

I wanted to let you know how much we loved the rock ‘n roll cake you did for Maddie’s birthday last weekend.  It was absolutely adorable. 

I got to meet the decorator briefly – I didn’t catch her name – and she was equally as adorable.  I could tell that she really cared that each detail on the cake was absolutely perfect.  Please let her know that she succeeded beautifully.

And the cake was delicious!  That amaretto was phenomenal.  Folks were coming back for seconds!
